The bike

We got up for breakfast, packed our bags and then went down to get the coach to the Harley dealer.  We got in the coach and wow it was like a limosine, disco lights and blacked out windows and bench seats all round the outside.  We arrived at the Harley dealer and filled in all the forms and this is the bike.  Can you spot me?

Mr Pakes took the bike for a ride round the block and then came back and got me and Mrs Pakes. All was fine.  After all the group had got their bikes we headed up to Milwaukee.  We rode for about an hour and then stopped for a little break. Mrs Pakes said she was fine and no problems so far, not sure what she meant.  Then we got back on the bikes and carried on.  We went through some road works where the roads were a little bit rough and I kept jumping up in the air when we hit some bumps.  We arrived in Milwaukee and went to the Harley Davidson museum where we saw lots of motorbikes.  I met a friend Graham who is also on the tour.

 After the museum we went to our next hotel, The Iron Horse. It is called this because it is right next to a railway line and when the trains go by they are very loud.  We went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner which was very nice and then back to the hotel for bed.

We have to load the luggage at eight in the morning and we leave at 8.30 to head for Springfield, Illinois.

P.S. Mrs Pakes didn't reply to the text she recieved at 4 o'clock this morning, which woke her up, as she thought if she had she might not have a job to come back to!
